Twinkly November beauty buys

From Mac's dazzling Christmas collection to the Lookfantastic Black Friday Edit, we've got November Beauty covered...

We've spent most of November trying to avoid getting our hair wet…which has not been easy. The relentless rain has not been kind to our curls and we've spent lots of time on the lookout for a hair 'wonder product'. Something to tame our frizz and keep curls bouncy, defined and shiny (current front-runner is the Boucleme range of products, most notably the indispensable Curl Towel, £20, and the brilliant Curl Cream, £19. Check them out if you're a curly girl, like us!)

But despite the ongoing rain and grey days, November has also thrown some great treats our way! Take the dazzling and twinkly, MAC Christmas collection, 'Starring You'. We've both gone nuts for it! In fact, we couldn't resist getting our hands on some of the star-embossed products. (You can watch us talking all about them and see the products in action, by clicking here.)

Ever the 'Blush Queen', M is now the proud owner of the Star Dipped Face Compact, £39, with 4 super soft blush and highlighter powders that work like a dream. Knowing M, she'll also be sweeping them over her eyelids for a pop of shimmering colour. And the compact itself is a gorgeously glittering pink… perfect for the 'magpie' in you.

V, on the other hand, is all about the lips! And she's been left spellbound by the Fireworks Drama Blast Lipstick in Kiss Of Stars, £19. It's a glitter-coated bullet of pinky lilac lipstick with a star design, that gives lips an immediate metallic sheen that lasts for hours. And the glitter (don't worry, the particles are extra fine) isn't just on the outside… it runs all the way through the lipstick, so you'll never be disappointed! There are several other shades to buy, but this is definitely V's favourite.

And then there's the fab lipgloss trio - the Lucky Stars Lip Gloss Kit, that comes with a very cute pouch… it's great value at £29 and we reckon it  would make the perfect gift this holiday season! There are 3 dinky glosses in the kit (cute, but not so small that you'll feel cheated if you buy them), with 2 pretty pink shades and a rather fabulous, sparkling purple, that is far more subtle on the lips than you'd imagine, and gives a gorgeous, shimmering glaze. It's M's new go-to gloss!

Still on makeup and we have to share with you another recent beauty find that's hugely impressed us. In fact, we've added it to our list of 'Game Changer Beauty' !! It's the Ciate London Microblade Brow Eyebrow Pen, £14. It comes in 3 shades - Soft Brown, Deep Brown, and Charcoal and works like a dream. The innovative, 4-pronged tip, creates the most natural looking, precise strokes, to give you brilliantly defined brows (without any of the microblading pain)! And what's more, once applied, it really doesn't budge or smudge. We love it.

That's all for November. Except to say that V is now the proud owner of a lovely new puppy (Rufus!), and she very much hopes that the wet weather changes soon as she foresees much more time spent outdoors!! Yikes!
