Treat Your Skin To What It Needs Not What's Trending...We truly believe this statement (of course we do... we wrote it!). Don't get us wrong, we're all seduced by trends and a degree of hype. That's human nature. We’re all guilty of jumping on a bandwagon - beauty or otherwise - and can often look back with regret... take the pictures at the bottom of the two of us, taken in the late 80s when 'large glasses' were clearly a thing! Thanks mums!!

We all want to be part of the latest trend and buy into the promise that whatever we're investing in (whether financially or emotionally) will improve and enhance our lives.

But we feel very strongly that when it comes to our skin and buying beauty products, there's no one trend that suits all. Just like there's no one moisturiser /serum/cleanser/eyecream that suits all.

At Verymakeupmad we're all about Bespoke Beauty. We're passionate about it. And we're living proof of it. Yes, we are exactly the same age (well, we will be in a few weeks when V turns 44), and we both suffer from a degree of skin dryness, along with lines that are forever creeping up on us and monthly hormonal spots. And yet, despite these similarities, we regularly use different products. What M loves, doesn't always work for V. And vice versa. We believe and know that we should all be using what our different skins NEED and if we have 10 client consultations in one week, we will invariably be recommending 10 different moisturisers. Every skin is different and we're here to celebrate that!

Of course, there are products that unite the two of us and that we gladly shout about, simply because we want to share with you how great they are. We love to inspire you to try new beauty, and to introduce you to brands and products that you might not otherwise know about.
